Over 140 people attended a Town Hall event co-hosted by the City of Fayetteville and the Small Business Administration (SBA) on June 13 at Fayetteville Technical Community College. The event aimed to provide small business owners and entrepreneurs with information about resources that could benefit their businesses.
Mayor Mitch Colvin and SBA District Director Allen Thomas participated in a fireside chat moderated by Dr. Tamara Colvin, Director of the Fayetteville – Cumberland Regional Entrepreneur & Business HUB. The discussion focused on supporting and developing small businesses.
Following the fireside chat, a panel discussion featured Jennifer Baptiste and Derrick McArthur from the City of Fayetteville, Kevin Bunn from First Bank, Magaly Rivera from the Carolina Small Business Development Fund, and Danice Langdon from the NC Center for Economic Empowerment & Development's Women's Business Center of Fayetteville. The panel was moderated by SBA Deputy District Director Aregnaz Mooradian and concentrated on practical steps for businesses to engage with resources designed to ensure success. A question-and-answer session followed the panel discussion.
