The city of Fayetteville, N.C., is seeking input from residents on where pedestrian improvements are most needed. As part of updating the Fayetteville Pedestrian Plan, the city aims to identify and prioritize necessary sidewalk, trail, and intersection enhancements to ensure a safe, walkable, and accessible environment.

Residents will have three opportunities to share their feedback regarding potential locations for additional crosswalks and sidewalks. They are encouraged to participate in an online survey or use the interactive map available at FayettevilleNC.gov/WalkingSafe. The survey will remain open until August 31.

Additionally, residents can attend the Pedestrian Plan Workshop on August 28 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the FAST Transit Center located at 505 Franklin St. This workshop will allow attendees to engage with city staff and partners about the pedestrian plan and pinpoint specific areas needing improvement.

This initiative updates the 2018 Fayetteville Comprehensive Pedestrian Plan.

For more information and ongoing updates, residents can visit FayettevilleNC.gov/WalkingSafe.
