Splash Pads and Pools in Fayetteville Set to Open in May

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation (FCPR) has announced the opening dates for their splash pads and pools this summer. According to FCPR, "The 14 Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation (FCPR) splash pads open May 1 at 10 a.m. Pools will open on Memorial Day, May 27."

The splash pads will be free to the public and will operate Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some exceptions based on school schedules. They will be open to all ages and can be activated easily by hitting the button on the pole or on the ground. The splash pads will remain open until Sept. 30, providing a fun and refreshing way to beat the summer heat.

Following the splash pad openings, the four pool facilities will start operating on May 27. The pools will be open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The admission fees for residents are $1 for ages 12 and under and $2 for ages 13 and up, while non-residents will pay $2 for children and $4 for adults. Keith A. Bates, Sr. Pool will have adjusted hours when school is in session.

As the summer progresses, pool operations will transition to weekends only starting on Aug. 29, with the last swim day scheduled for Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5. Families and individuals are encouraged to take advantage of these facilities before the season comes to a close.
