Free Fourth of July Events in Downtown Fayetteville

(Fayetteville, N.C.) – The City of Fayetteville is proud to announce two Independence Day events in Downtown Fayetteville on July 4. The July 4th FAYcation hosted by Cool Spring Downtown and the Independence Concert & Fireworks hosted by the City of Fayetteville and Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra. Each event will provide ample entertainment in the Historic Downtown area prior to fireworks display in Festival Park.

July 4th FAYcation

Cool Spring Downtown District is hosting the “July 4th FAYcation” block party on Maxwell Street from 7 to 10 p.m.

Performances by world-renowned reggae and dancehall performer Petra and music from various DJs will fill the streets while food vendors, a beer garden will be available. Yard and water games will be available for the whole family to enjoy.

The Independence Concert & Fireworks

The City of Fayetteville and the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra presents the Independence Day Concert and Fireworks at Festival Park to celebrate the holiday. 

Gates open at 6 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:15 p.m. with the Fayetteville Symphonic Band, Fayetteville’s only community wind band performing group. The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, along with the 82nd Airborne Division Band, will perform beginning at approximately 8:15 p.m. 

The event will feature food truck vendors, a free children’s area and fireworks at the conclusion of the concert. No skateboards, bicycles, personal tents or canopies will be permitted in the park. Only service animals will be admitted.

The event is also sponsored by PWC and supported by the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County through their Project Support Grant program.
