(Fayetteville, N.C.) - An $8,000 grant from the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County will be used to support the Independence Concert to be held in Festival Park on Tuesday, July 4. The concert is being presented by the City of Fayetteville and the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra to celebrate the holiday.
Gates will open at 6 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7:15 p.m. with the Fayetteville Symphonic Band, Fayetteville’s only community wind band performing group. The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, along with the 82nd Airborne Division Band, will perform beginning at approximately 8:15 p.m. The event, sponsored by PWC, will feature food truck vendors, a free children’s area and fireworks at the conclusion of the concert. No skateboards, bicycles, personal tents or canopies will be permitted in the park. Only service animals will be admitted.
Project Support Grants increase opportunities for access to arts, science, cultural and historical programming in Cumberland County. The grants are awarded to nonprofit agencies in Cumberland County that demonstrate financial and administrative stability.
