Prostitution Sting Leads to Multiple Arrests | CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE: (FayettevilleNC.gov)
City of Fayetteville Police Department issued the following announcement on Feb. 5.
On January 26, 2023, a team of officers and detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department conducted a prostitution sting at a local motel along the Skibo Road corridor. Investigators with the Human Trafficking Unit utilized undercover officers to pose as escorts and sex workers advertising on one of the more well-known escort websites.
The operation led to the arrest of nine individuals who responded to these advertisements posted by Fayetteville Police Department. All nine offenders have been charged with Solicitation of Prostitution.
This operation was a collaborative effort of the Human Trafficking/Narcotic Vice Suppression Unit; Central, Cross Creek, and Campbellton CERT; Emergency Response Team (ERT); and Army CID.
