CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT: Traffic Stop Leads to a Huge Narcotics Seizure

City of Fayetteville Police Department issued the following announcement on Nov. 19.

On November 16, 2022, Officers from the Fayetteville Police Department's Central District Community Empowerment Response Team and K9 Officer Hoke were patrolling the area of Raeford Road and Montclair Road when they conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle. The vehicle was driven by Silviano Carrillo Ramirez (Hispanic male, 34 years of age).

During the traffic stop, a search of the vehicle was conducted and officers located a huge amount of narcotics. The officers seized a total of 15,885 grams (15.8 kilos) of Cocaine.

Officers charged Ramirez with 3 counts of Trafficking Cocaine and Conspiracy. Ramirez was transported to the Cumberland County Detention Center and processed for the charges. He remains in the custody of the CCJ under $350,000 secured bond.
