Town of Spring Lake issued the following announcement on Aug. 9.
Please join us on Friday, September 9th at 8:30 a.m. as we pause to remember and reflect the 21st Anniversary of the terror attacks on September 11th, 2001.
The ceremony will include several guests, a tribute to all Police, Fire, and First Responders through messages written by the children, the 'Ringing of the Bells' by members of our Fire Department, and a live vocal performance of the National Anthem.
The ceremony will be held at our Veterans Memorial Park located on the corners of Main Street and Ruth Street.
Plenty of seating will be available as well as light refreshments.
In the event of rain, it will be moved indoors to the gymnasium of the Recreation and Community Center located at 245 Ruth St.
