Town of Spring Lake issued the following announcement on Jan. 17.
If you are experiencing a power outage, if you know of a fallen power line, or wish to report a power outage, there are several ways to do so with DUKE Energy..visit their website at https://www.duke-energy.com/outages. They also have an app you can download to your phone.
Also, if you can, please avoid any unnecessary travel until all threats of inclement weather are over. Some roads in may appear clear, but there still may be some spots that aren't, or there may be possible fallen debris on the roadways caused by the rain/ice mix.
Also, please be cautious as there may be emergency personnel and vehicles out responding to calls.
