County of Cumberland issued the following announcement on Oct. 21.
The Cumberland County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer program is accepting applications for 2022. Classes begin Jan. 20 and run through April 7. The class will meet every Thursday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension Auditorium, located at 301 E. Mountain Dr., Fayetteville.
There is a fee for the training, which will cover training supplies and the Extension Master Gardener Manual. Applications are now being accepted and can be obtained by calling 910-321-6405. Applications may also be found on the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension website at: http://cumberland.ces.ncsu.edu. The deadline for accepting applications is Dec. 10, 2021.
The Extension Master Gardener Volunteer program is an excellent opportunity for interested persons to increase their gardening knowledge and volunteer in the community.
