RAEFORD-HOKE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Members Of Public Join Firefighters To Climb Stairs Of Segra Stadium In Honor Of 343 Firefighters From FDNY Who Died

Raeford-Hoke Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sep 10. 

In remembrance of the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, members of the public will join area firefighters to climb the stairs of the Segra Stadium in honor of the 343 firefighters from the FDNY who died while trying to save others.

Join the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) on September 11, 2021, for the 2021 Fayetteville 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at the Segra Stadium, 460 Hay Street, Fayetteville, NC. Each participant pays tribute to a FDNY firefighter by climbing or walking the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Registration is $30. Everyone will receive a photo ID of one of the fallen heroes of September 11th. Onsite registration begins at 7:00 am with Opening Ceremonies beginning at 8:30 am.  The Climb will start at 8:47 am and will end at 11:30 am. “The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is an opportunity for anyone in the community to demonstrate respect and admiration for these courageous men who gave their lives trying to save others. It’s also a way to show their loved ones that we will never forget them,” said National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Executive Director Ron Siarnicki.
