Town of Spring Lake issued the following announcement on Sep 3.
On Saturday Sept. 18th, from 9 a.m. until 12 NOON, the Town of Spring Lake Stormwater Division, along with the Town of Spring Lake Appearance Committe, will be hosting the annual “Fall Clean-Up” for our area while taking part in the Cumberland County Fall Clean-up Event.
This is a community based event that relies heavily on volunteers from our area who are willing to join in the effort to make our town look as good as it feels.
Our regular line-up of awesome helpers usually comes from some of our local Church groups, families, Scout troops, clubs and organizations, and our military who come forward and help with picking up designated areas and neighborhoods around Spring Lake.
The event will be based out of our Recreation Center located at 245 Ruth Street.
Trash bags are provided, and there will be containers available in the parking lot across from the Town Hall for larger items such as tires.
