County of Cumberland issued the following announcement on Jul. 12.
Cumberland County Libraries will host COVID-19 vaccination clinics on Saturdays in July and August to bring vaccination sites closer to Cumberland County residents.
Vaccination clinics will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each Saturday starting July 10 through Aug. 28. This is in conjunction with the Cumberland County Health Department’s effort to increase the number of fully vaccinated residents in Cumberland County.
To make it easier for residents to receive the vaccination, locations will administer a first and second dose at the same location according to the approved Centers for Disease Control and Prevention timeline. Students returning for in-person learning this fall will need to be vaccinated not later than July 19 for optimal vaccination effectiveness. This is to ensure two full weeks have passed since receiving the second vaccination shot.
