Greater Fayetteville Chamber issued the following announcement on Dec. 21.
Starting Jan. 1, the Planning & Inspections department will implement an updated fee schedule that was adopted by the Board of Commissioners in June as part of the fiscal year 2021 budget.
The county’s current Planning and Inspections fee structure had not been revised in over a decade. The approved fees for 2021 were developed by analyzing the costs charged by comparable counties and they remain on par or lower than costs charged by the comparable counties.
“Our staff worked to create an all-inclusive permits structure that is predictable to the customer, comprehensive in their application, reflective of our operational costs for service provision, and in line with our comparable counties,” Planning & Inspections Director Rawls Howard said.

The FY2021 Adopted Budget can be found on the Budget department webpage on the county’s website.
