Cumberland County issued the following announcement on May 18.
Department of Public Health officials have been notified of the deaths of two Cumberland County residents from complications associated with COVID-19. Both individuals had underlying medical conditions. There have been 13 coronavirus related deaths of Cumberland County residents.
“We offer our deepest condolences to these two families as they deal with the loss of their loved ones,” said Health Director Dr. Jennifer Green.
An additional 28 positive cases were reported Monday, bringing the county’s total to 487.
Cumberland Drive-Thru Testing Delayed Due to Weather
Drive-thru COVID-19 testing scheduled for Tuesday in the parking lot of Manna Church at 5117 Cliffdale Road has been cancelled due to potential inclement weather. Test collection will take place Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weather permitting.
The Health Department will be offering the drive-thru test collection on Tuesdays and Wednesdays on an ongoing basis from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church. Test collection will be conducted by appointment only. Walk-ins will not be accepted. An online self-assessment and appointment portal is posted on the department’s new Covid-19 Testing and Collection webpage.
