City closures announced for Independence Day in Fayetteville

City of Fayetteville Government offices will be closed Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Please see the following holiday schedules for the Police Department, Solid Waste Division, Fayetteville Regional Airport, Fayetteville Area System of Transit and Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation.

Police Department

The main police station front lobby and records unit at 467 Hay Street will be closed on July 4. Report suspicious activity and emergencies to 911. File a police report online. Send anonymous tips to help solve crimes to Crimestoppers by calling (910) 483-4877 or visiting p3tips.com.

Solid Waste Division

Thursday’s garbage and yard waste will be collected on July 3. Thursday’s recycling will be collected on the regular schedule.

Fayetteville Regional Airport

Airport Administrative Offices will be closed on July 4. For questions on holiday travel and/or flight schedules, travelers should contact airlines directly. Visit flyfay.com for airline contact information or to make reservations.

Fayetteville Area System of Transit

FAST will operate on a regular schedule Wednesday, July 3. There will be no service on July 4. FAST administrative offices will be closed on July 4.

Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation

FCPR administrative offices will be closed on July 4. Recreation Centers will operate on an abbreviated schedule from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on July 4. Parks, trails, and green space areas will remain open and accessible to the public. Splash Pads will be open from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Pools will be open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
