(Fayetteville, N.C.) – The Fayetteville Police Department (FPD) is wrapping up its annual partnership with Dunkin’ Donuts to raise funds for Special Olympics North Carolina (SONC) May 18 and 24 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Supporters can donate through Dunkin’s Icon Campaign, where proceeds go to SONC, by visiting the following locations, 1926 Skibo Road on May 18 and 3411 Ramsey St. on May 24. Visitors can purchase, fill out and place the Icon on a police vehicle with the goal to cover the vehicle in Icons.

Lieutenant Jarryd Rauhoff has been instrumental to FPD’s support of SONC and the local Special Olympics chapter and athletes.

Rauhoff said FPD raised $40,446.76 for SONC last year and the Dunkin' Icon Campaign raised over $6000 of that total.

“The goal of the Fayetteville Police Department is always to exceed the previous year's total,” said Rauhoff.

Currently, FPD officers have volunteered at various local Dunkin’ locations for this year’s fundraising campaign six times since May 10. They wrap up the Icon Campaign with these two dates.
