Town of Hope Mills issued the following announcement on June 13.

Town offices will be closed on Friday, June 17, 2022. At their Special Meeting last night, the Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to amend the Town holiday schedule and add Juneteenth for the first time in Town history.

Town Services: Yard waste, garbage and recycling collection will not be affected.

Emergency Services: The Police and Fire Department will operate as normal. If you have an emergency please dial 911. 

Juneteenth Festivities: The launch party for the Juneteenth Freedom Festival is scheduled for Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Dirtbag Ales from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. Mayor Pro Tem Dr. McCray will be honored at the Juneteenth Jubilee Heritage Brunch at Studio 215 on June 19, 2022.
