Town Of Hope Mills Public Notice Solicitation Of Sealed Bids For Sale Of Town Real Estate5554 Trade Street.
Pursuant to N.C.G.S. § 160A-268 the town commission of Hope Mills hereby states that it is soliciting sealed bids to purchase a tract of land and property known as the Trade Street House, located at 5554 Trade Street, Hope Mills, NC 28348. Being all of lot 20, as shown on a map entitled “Boundary survey of the Town of Hope Mills Parcel Lot 20, PB16, Pg22”, thereof recorded in Book 00141, Page 0039, Cumberland County Registry. TAX ID # 0414-64-0519.
The structure, built around 1920, is a one-story former home, which has a metal roof installed in 2019, new rot-resistant windows, ADA compliant sidewalk, and rear access ramp, recently serviced HVAC unit with a new compressor. Most fixtures were removed, and the bathroom is complete and intact.
The Property is zoned C(P) Planned Commercial District, which prohibits use as a residence on the first floor. The Town’s conveyance of this property will be as-is condition.
Sealed bids will be received up until public opening on May 11th at 2 PM. Sealed Bids shall be dropped in person at 5770 Rockfish Road, Hope Mills, NC 28348, or postmarked and Labeled “Mill House Bid Do Not Open” received prior to the opening deadline.
