Town of Hope issued the following announcement on Nov. 2.

The Hope Mills Board of Commissioners have scheduled a public hearing for 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Hope Mills Town Hall on the question of annexing the following described territory, requested by petition filed pursuant to NCGS 160A-58.2.

The area proposed for annexation is described as follows:At the intersection of Brooklyn Circle and US 301 S. Being REID #’s 0424307813000 & 0424308458000, containing 3.32 acres, more or less, duly recorded in Plat Book 148, Page 177, Cumberland County Registry, North Carolina.

This is a non-contiguous annexation.

The public is invited to attend the meeting to offer comments or ask questions.
