Town of Hope Mills issued the following announcement on Mar. 2.

The Town of Hope Mills is accepting applications for committee openings for a new ad-hoc committee that will be called the Sunshine Committee. The only requirement is that your are 55 or older and live inside MIA (municipal influence area).

Purpose: Creation of an inclusive and connected environment to support senior services in Hope Mills. Through planning, policy, advocacy, and engagement in current and emerging issues, members will promote the advancement of a diverse, inclusive and safe community. 

Additionally, there are openings on the Parks & Recreation, Appearance, Veterans and Historic Preservation Committees.

An application can be found on the Town’s website: https://www.townofhopemills.com/129/Boards-Committees or you may pick one up at Town Hall, 5770 Rockfish Road, Hope Mills.
