The Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST) will host a hiring fair on July 16 at 505 Franklin Street in Fayetteville. The event, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., aims to fill both full- and part-time Transit Operator II positions. Applicants must possess a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement and no air brake restrictions.

FAST currently employs 60 Commercial Driver Licensed operators and 17 non-CDL operators, serving over 6,000 daily customers who rely on the transit system for access to jobs, medical facilities, shopping, and recreational activities. The service operates nearly 1.6 million trips annually using a fleet of 30 buses across 19 routes and an additional 21 FASTTrac! vehicles providing paratransit services.

"Be part of a winning team that provides great benefits and growth opportunities," stated FAST in their announcement. Regular status employees working more than 30 hours per week are offered comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, paid vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, deferred compensation plans, and supplemental plans by the City of Fayetteville.

For more information about the hiring fair, interested parties can contact Jackie Kelly via email at JackieKelly@FayettevilleNC.gov or by phone at 910-433-1157.
