Fayetteville seeks volunteers for board and commission vacancies

The City of Fayetteville is seeking citizens to fill upcoming vacancies on various boards and commissions. The available positions are as follows:

- Audit Committee – 1 Vacancy

- Board of Appeals – 4 Vacancies

- Ethics Commission – 2 Vacancies (1 Regular & 1 Certified Public Accountant)

- Fair Housing Board – 2 Vacancies

- Fayetteville Advisory Committee on Transit (FACT) – 2 Vacancies (1 Regular & 1 Bus Rider)

- Fayetteville City Planning Commission – 4 Vacancies

- Fayetteville City Zoning Commission – 3 Vacancies

- Fayetteville-Cumberland Economic Development Board – 1 Vacancy

- Fayetteville-Cumberland Human Relations Commission – 4 Vacancies

- Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission – 1 Vacancy

- Fayetteville Next Advisory Commission – 20 Vacancies

- Fayetteville Redevelopment Board – 1 Vacancy

- Joint City and County Appearance Commission – 1 Vacancy

- Linear Park, Inc. – 1 Vacancy

- Stormwater Advisory Board – 1 Vacancy

- Wrecker Review Board – 1 Vacancy

According to the city, these boards and commissions provide residents with an opportunity to engage in their community and contribute to building a better Fayetteville. Volunteers appointed by the City Council serve as a link between residents and the governing body, advising on policies and programs.

Applications are open until July 31 at Fayettevillenc.gov/boards. Qualified applications will be reviewed by the Appointments Committee in August, with final approval by the City Council expected at a regular meeting in September.
