The City of Fayetteville, North Carolina, has announced a series of Budget Work Sessions beginning on May 16 at 10 a.m. at City Hall. Additional dates will be published in due course. These sessions are critical as city officials convene to discuss and refine the fiscal year budget.
The Budget Work Sessions are open to the public and aim to foster transparency and community involvement in the municipal budgeting process. The discussions will take place in Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 433 Hay Street.
Furthermore, a Public Hearing is scheduled for May 28, at 6:30 p.m., in the City Hall Council Chambers. This hearing provides community members with an additional opportunity to express their views on the allocation of public funds.
"The budget work sessions and public hearing are integral to our commitment to an open and participative government," said a city official. The official further encouraged all residents to attend and engage during this process as the budget aims to align fiscal strategies with the community’s needs.
Residents interested in speaking at the public hearing can register on the City Clerk’s website at fayettevillenc.gov/clerk. All sessions and the public hearing will be streamed live on faytv.net.
