City of Fayetteville Fire Department issued the following announcement on Feb. 28.
Fire Chief Mike Hill and the Fayetteville Fire Department announce the promotion of Captain Johnny M. Deal III to the position of Battalion Chief effective February 27, 2023.
Battalion Chief Deal will be assigned to the operations division as Battalion 3 on C-shift.
Chief Deal has been with the department since 2000 with much of his time assigned to the Hazardous Materials Team.
We recognize Chief Deal for the hard work and commitment exhibited through the promotional process and throughout his career.
