City of Fayetteville Police Department issued the following announcement on Nov. 2.
A month long investigation on Penfield Drive yielded Probable Cause for a search warrant to be executed. The investigation was a collaborative effort among the Fayetteville Police Department’s Cross Creek District Community Empowerment Response Team (CERT), Narcotic Vice Suppression Unit and the Cross Creek District Property Unit Detectives.
Through their hard work and dedication to decreasing crime and making the communities of Fayetteville a safer place for everyone, they recovered the following drugs, money and weapons during the search warrant:
• 4 grams of Psilocybin (mushrooms) • 6 Oxycodone Tablets• 10 Xanex Tablets• 2.52 lbs of Marijuana Edibles• 14.6 lbs or Marijuana• 13.27 grams of Fentanyl• $6,852.00• 1 AR15 Rifle with Green Tip Rounds that had previously been reported stolen
There were five individuals that were arrested with a total of 22 Felony Drug and Weapons Offenses as a result of the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
