City of Fayetteville Police Department issued the following announcement on Sept. 19.
The Fayetteville PD presented Mr. John Levecque, Director of Operations for our local Dunkin Donuts, with a plaque to say thank you for the continued support for our Special Olympics Annual Fundraiser event "Cover the Cruiser" that is held at our local Dunkin Donuts in town.
Each year, the Fayetteville Police Department partners with Dunkin Donuts to "Cover the Cruiser."
A patrol car is parked outside of the business and every donation that is given in honor of the Special Olympics of North Carolina puts a paper icon on the patrol car.
The goal is to have the entire patrol car covered with the paper icons by the end of the event.
This is just one of the many ways the department partners with local area businesses to raise funds for this wonderful cause. '
