Cumberland County Schools issued the following announcement on July 13.
Cumberland County Schools (CCS) is proud to announce that the Class of 2022 has earned $34,216,851 in scholarships from numerous colleges and universities across the nation.
This marks an increase of $8,242,084.03 over the 2021 total and the first increase in yearly scholarship totals since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As of July 5, the total amounts of scholarship dollars earned in the following categories are:
- Academic Scholarships - $28,536,394
- Athletic Scholarships - $1,554,319
- Military Scholarships - $3,110,094
- Other Scholarships (community, civic, etc.) - $ 1,016,044
