CUMBERLAND COUNTY SCHOOLS: Supporting the Needs of the Whole Child: Creating Calm Corners at Home

Childbrowsing

Cumberland County Schools issued the following announcement on Mar. 30.

Join us at our next family engagement session, Supporting the Needs of the Whole Child: Creating Calm Corners at Home.

CCS' Student Services Department and Cumberland Family Academy are joining forces to host a virtual family engagement session at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022. CCS recognizes that unmet Social and Emotional Learning needs can negatively impact students. Investing in students' mental health promotes a safe environment, the development of healthy relationships, and successful academic outcomes.

CCS families are invited to attend this virtual family engagement session to learn about calm corners and how they can utilize everyday household items to create peaceful spaces that promote self-regulation and reflection for their children at home.

Don't miss this informative session; it will be live-streamed on the district's Facebook page: www.facebook.com/CumberlandCoSch.
