Town of Spring Lake issued the following announcement on Jan. 26.
The Town of Spring Lake will be conducting a free chlorine burnout of its water distribution system. The burnout will begin on Tuesday, March 31, 2022 and end on Thursday, March 31, 2022. Normal treatment will resume on Friday, April 1, 2022.
Currently the town of Spring Lake purchases drinking water from Harnett County and Fayetteville PWC which both use chloramines for disinfection of the water.
