COUNTY OF CUMBERLAND: Sheltered Animals Receive Christmas Meal

County of Cumberland issued the following announcement on Dec. 15. 

The Friends of Cumberland County Animals (FOCCAS), a non-profit that supports pets and their owners in Cumberland County, have organized a Christmas meal for the shelter animals on Dec. 17 at 10 a.m. Approximately 75 dogs and 100 cats will enjoy this animal-friendly meal. 

The event is not open to the public.

Animal friendly items on the menu include:

  • Cooked boneless turkey breast or boneless chicken breast (no whole or frozen turkeys)
  • Canned tuna or sardines (NO flavor added – packed in water NOT oil)
  • Canned chicken (NO flavor added)
  • Sweet potatoes (plain)
  • Baby carrots
  • Bananas
  • Apples
  • Applesauce (unsweetened)
