Hoke County Schools issued the following announcement on Aug. 3.
When the 2021-22 school year begins, all Hoke County Schools students and staff are scheduled to return to in-person instruction, five days per week. SandHoke students will return to the classroom on Thursday, August 5 and all other students will return to school on August 23. However, for the upcoming 2021 Fall Semester, Hoke County Schools is providing remote learning instruction to a limited number of students based on medical need. Students will be considered for virtual learning only if one of the two conditions are met:
*The student has an underlying condition that increases the risk for severe illness from COVID-19, OR
*The student resides with someone, or a student's caregiver is at an increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19 due to an underlying medical condition
If your child meets one or both of these conditions, you must complete an application and submit the appropriate documentation by the end of the day on Tuesday, August 10. The link to the application can be found on our district website or by clicking on the link below. You can also pick up printed copies at the Board of Education or in the front office at any of our schools.
