55 percent of applicants to Methodist University were admitted for fall 2018

At Methodist University, 75 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 52 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Fayetteville enrolled 2,092 students in fall 2018, including 1,772 in undergraduate and 320 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

63 percent of undergraduates are residents of North Carolina, and 29 percent are residents of other states. 8 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (42 percent) and Black or African American (17 percent).

The school admitted 55 percent of the 3,633 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 19 percent enrolled.
