TOWN OF HOPE MILLS: Press Release Regarding Stay at Home Order beginning 3/30/2020

Town of Hope Mills issued the following announcement on Mar. 27.

A Message to Residents about the Coronavirus and the Stay at Home Order

HOPE MILLS - The Town of Hope Mills is prepared, once a Stay at Home order goes into effect

beginning Monday, March 30, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. 

•    Nothing will change for the Fire Department or Police Department other than; the lobby at the Police Station will be closed to the public; they will still have records staff coming in and will be able to conduct business through the phone, and email. 

•    Nothing will change for Parks & Recreation; as it is already closed to the public, we have staff working from home and a limited amount of staff coming into work. 

•    Nothing will change with Public Works; as we plan to continue picking up yard debris, maintaining the streets and continuing buildings & grounds operations. Trash and recycling collection will not be affected. 

•    Human Resources, Administration, Stormwater, Planning & Economic Development, and Finance will work from home; and come into the office only when necessary.

•    Inspections will continue to work an abbreviated schedule; with two staff members alternating Monday - Thursday, this may need to be adjusted to fewer days in the future.

The front lobby of Town Hall will be locked and people will be instructed to call ahead to make an appointment or utilize the drive through window; the rear of Town Hall is currently locked to the public and will remain so.
