Spring Lake Police Department issued the following announcement on Mar. 18.

The Spring Lake Police Department’s Annual Torch run for Special Olympics of North Carolina is scheduled for April 23rd at 9am. There are so many ways you can support this amazing and worthwhile event. Come out and run OR walk (there is a walking course) or line the route and cheer everyone on. Be at Veterans Park for the kick off at 9am. 

The 2022 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics tee shirts are available for a $20 donation, in an effort to raise money for the Special Olympics. 

No athlete or family is ever asked to pay a fee of any kind to participate in Special Olympics. Your gift helps carry the flame of hope for participating athletes.” Let’s make this year’s event the best yet. 

If you are interested in becoming a Sponsor, wanting to donate or would like a NC LETR T- please reach out to Sgt. Mccormick or Ofc. Hoffmann at your Spring Lake Police Department.  Sgt. McCormick is available Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.  11 Spring Ave, Spring Lake NC 28390.
