Fayetteville, N.C. – City of Fayetteville Government offices will be closed Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1 to observe the Christmas and New Year Holidays. Please see the following holiday schedules for the Police Department, Solid Waste Division, Fayetteville Regional Airport, Fayetteville Area System of Transit and Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation.  

Police Department 

  • Main police station front lobby and records unit at 467 Hay Street will be closed Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.  
  • Report all emergencies to 911.  
  • File a police report online
  • Send anonymous tips to help solve crimes to Crimestoppers by calling (910) 483-TIPS or visiting p3tips.com. 

Solid Waste Division 

  • Week of Christmas: Dec. 25
    • Monday’s household and yard waste will be collected Wednesday, Dec. 27.
    • Monday’s recycling will be collected Tuesday, Dec. 26. Tuesday’s recycling will be collected Wednesday, Dec. 27. Thursday’s recycling will be collected Friday, Dec. 29. Friday’s recycling will be collected Saturday, Dec. 30. Week of New Year’s Day: Jan. 1 
  • Monday’s household waste and yard waste will be collected Wednesday, Jan. 3.
  • Monday’s recycling will be collected Tuesday, Jan. 2. Tuesday’s recycling will be collected Wednesday, Jan. 3. Thursday’s recycling will be collected Friday, Jan. 5. Friday’s recycling will be collected Saturday, Jan. 6. 

Fayetteville Regional Airport 

  • Airport administrative offices will be closed Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.  
  • All other Airport operations will continue as regularly scheduled. 
  • For questions on travel and/or flight schedules, travelers should contact their airline directly.  
  • Visit www.flyfay.com/ for airline contact information or to make reservations. 

Fayetteville Area System of Transit 

  • FAST will not operate Dec. 25. 
  • FAST will resume regular operating hours Dec. 26. 
  • FAST will not operate New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. 
  • FAST will operate on regular operating hours Jan. 2. 
  • FAST administrative offices will be closed Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1. 

Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation 

  • FCPR administrative offices will be closed Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1. 
  • Recreation centers will operate on the abbreviated schedule of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 26 and Jan. 1. 
  • Recreation Centers and gated parks will be closed Dec. 25. 
  • Trails and open green space areas will remain open and accessible to the public.
