Hoke County Schools issued the following announcement on Dec. 20.

This fall, the Board of Education approved our 2021-26 Strategic Plan which will serve as our guideline for creating student success.  You can visit the district website to view the plan in its entirety, but in the coming weeks, we’ll be highlighting the different components of the plan and going into more detail about how we can achieve our goals.

Today, we’ll focus on our Mission Statement, ‘Hoke County Schools creates a student-focused learning community that fosters high expectations for all stakeholders, promotes lifelong learning, provides individualized support, and prepares students for success’.

Let’s look at the key concepts to get a deeper understanding of what exactly our mission statement means:

KEY CONCEPT

…student-focused learning community

All learning environments support a student-centered approach to learning that fosters student voice, choice, and relationships.

KEY CONCEPT

…high expectations

All students are capable of excellence and are supported to achieve their fullest potential.

KEY CONCEPT

…lifelong learning

Our students are inspired by new learning and growth experiences and approach life with a growth mindset.

KEY CONCEPT

…individualized support

Hoke County Schools tailors support to each student in order to meet their academic, social, and emotional needs.

KEY CONCEPT

…success

Since success is personal and unique to each learner, tools and strategies will be provided to help them achieve their maximum potential.

As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our school or district administration.  Working together, we can make the Strategic Plan a reality for all.
