Cumberland County Schools issued the following announcement on Feb. 5.

Choice Exit Application Available
The 2023-24 Choice Exit Application is now available on the CCS Student Assignment Department website. Click on Student Assignment Forms and scroll down. The application will remain available through Wednesday, May 31. Please submit this form ONLY if you wish to remove your child from their current Choice school assignment. Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.

Cumberland Family Academy #TBT — Staying Marketable: Job Search & Resume Tips
Dipping back into the Cumberland Family Academy archive, this Throwback Thursday, the CFA session is titled “Staying Marketable: Job Search & Resume Tips.” It will be streamed on the district’s Facebook page on Thursday, February 9 at 6 p.m.

“Skills of Tomorrow” In-Person Career Fair
As part of the district’s commitment to graduate successful students, the Career and Technical Education Department has curated a career fair for students to learn the necessary “Skills of Tomorrow.” This Career Fair is designed to show students what skills are needed to enter the workforce so they can be career ready. The in-person career fair, which is open to 8th and 12th graders, takes place on Friday, February 10 from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Crown Agri-Expo Center. Students will engage with over 100 industry partners and practice the skills needed to enter the workforce. Parents, please have your eighth grader or senior see their CTE teacher for details on how to attend the fair.
