Fayetteville, NC – The City of Fayetteville Marketing and Communications Department urges residents to be aware of several fake social media accounts claiming to be legitimate City of Fayetteville Government accounts. 

The official Fayetteville Facebook page recently received a ‘blue check’ signifying that it is the official account releasing current, accurate and timely information. The official web address is facebook.com/cityoffayettevillegovernment .

This is a significant indicator to inform our residents they are receiving accurate information from City officials. City officials caution everyone to ensure they are receiving accurate information legitimate sources such as the City’s website and social media platforms.
