City of Fayetteville issued the following announcement on Dec. 26.

White Flag has been declared for today through Wednesday, Dec. 28 to provide those who are in need of shelter overnight. 

Update on shelters: The Manna Dream Center at 913 Person Street is at capacity. Our community partner Salvation Army Shelter at 245 Alexander Street has beds available and the county in partnership with True Vine Ministries at 5315 Morgantown Road will also open tonight at 6pm with pick up available at the main county library on Maiden Lane.
