City of Fayetteville issued the following announcement on Dec. 2.

Downtown Fayetteville’s Social District is in full effect as of December 1. 

This 12-month pilot social district ordinance will allow people to drink beer, wine, or cocktails purchased from participating vendors as they explore Downtown Fayetteville in a defined area.  

  Monday thru Saturday from 12 pm to 10 pm

  Sunday from 10 am to 10 pm

  Drinks must be purchased from licensed and participating vendors. 

  Drinks must be consumed within the Social District area

  Drinks must be in specific cups

  Drink responsibly. Please don’t drink and drive.
