City of Fayetteville issued the following announcement on Sept. 26.

Help us “Put Waste in its Place” to reduce the amount of litter and other pollutants on City streets and in stormwater systems by participating in the upcoming Fayetteville Beautiful on October 8 from 8 am to noon! Registration is open. Fayettevillebeautiful.com

There will also be new anti-litter signs going up in communities heavily impacted by litter in the coming weeks.

“The new signs should remind us of our common goal to have a clean City and a place where we all come together to do our part,” said Fayetteville’s Mayor Mitch Colvin.
