CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE: Highlights from Monday’s City Council Regular Meeting

City of Fayetteville issued the following announcement on Dec. 11.

Here are a few highlights from Monday’s City Council Regular Meeting, the final City Council regular meeting of 2022: 

 Council declared the results of $97 million Fayetteville Forward Bonds approved by voters in November. 

 Council approved rezoning of 8.68 acres located at 8142 & 8159 Stoney Point Road from agricultural residential to community commercial.  

 Council appropriated $610,000 for the Human Capital Management Module of the Enterprise Resource System Project.

 Council approved the addition of 6 City streets totaling 1.11 miles to the City’s network which now totals 750.5 miles.  

Following a public hearing, Council authorized the issuance of private activity bonds up to $114 million related to two mixed income housing developments at 1701 Owen Drive and 1944 Cedar Creek Road.   

The next regular City Council meeting will be held on Monday, January 9 at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers in City Hall. The January Work Session will be held on Tuesday, January 3 at 5 p.m. in Council Chambers.
