City of Fayetteville Fire Department issued the following announcement on Feb. 28.

Fire Chief Mike Hill and the Fayetteville Fire Department announce the promotion of Lieutenant Chance S. Steen to the position of Fire Captain effective February 27, 2023. 

Captain Steen will be assigned to the operations division at fire station 2 on C-Shift.

Captain Steen has been with the department since 2013 and has been assigned to the Fire Investigation Team for much of that time. 

Captain Steen is a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) and will return to the team in his new assignment. 

 We recognize Captain Steen for the hard work and commitment exhibited through the promotional process and throughout his career.
