City of Fayetteville issued the following announcement on Jan. 10.

Here are a few highlights from Monday’s City Council Regular Meeting: 

 Council authorized the condemnation of easements on the properties needed for Sunbury Drive Drainage Project. 

 Council adopted Budget Ordinance Amendment 2023-9 and Capital Project Ordinance 2023-12 to purchase a replacement aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicle. 

 Council approved the bid recommendation for power transformers at multiple Public Works Commission substations. 

 Council approved the bid recommendation of one Generator Step-Up Transformer for Butler Warner Generation Plant. 

 Council authorized the acceptance of NC Department of Environmental Quality Recycling Project Grant and adoption of Special Revenue Fund Project Ordinance 2023-10.
