(Fayetteville, N.C.) â€” The City of Fayetteville will hold its inauguration ceremony for Mayor Mitch Colvin and City Council at 6 p.m. on Dec. 6, 2023. The ceremony will take place at Fayetteville State University in the J.W. Seabrook Auditorium, 1200 Murchison Rd.  

The following individuals will be sworn in during the ceremony: 

Mayor – Mitch Colvin 

District 1 – Councilwoman Kathy Jensen 

District 2 – Newly elected Councilman Malik Davis 

District 3 – Councilman Mario Benavente 

District 4 – Councilman D.J. Haire  

District 5 – Newly elected Councilwoman Lynne Greene 

District 6 – Councilman Derrick Thompson 

District 7 – Councilwoman Brenda McNair 

District 8 – Councilwoman Courtney Banks-McLaughlin 

District 9 – Councilman Deno Hondros  

Following the inauguration ceremony, council will then vote on the next mayor pro tem. 

The mayor and city council members will serve a term of two-years.
